Project
Through the collaboration with the local building authority and the State Office for the Protection of Monuments, the renovation of the existing building and the approval for two new buildings in the inner courtyard was achieved. The project comprises 485 student apartments and 82 micro-apartments. On the ground floor there is a large lobby with work and leisure areas for residents and a large launderette and gym in the basement. Inspired by the idea of urban community living, the design features visible structural elements such as exposed concrete and exposed conduits. This combination of architecture, interior design and product design led to the project receiving the 2019 Iconic Award for Innovative Architecture.
Since selling the property, CRE continues to manage the building under the brands Neonwood
and Tannhaus.
